Role Overview

Working as part of the corporate finance accounting team, the intern will offer support with Oracle migration and for the accurate monthly closing of the business units. Reporting directly to the Regional GL, the intern will be responsible to offer support for general ledger/ accounts payable integrity and balance sheet accuracy. 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports;
  • Responsible for assigned general ledger/ accounts payable transactions
  • Participates in month-end closings, ensuring the monthly variation of accounts is in line with expected results
  • Prepare the balance sheet reconciliations and data consolidation
  • Assists the audit process by preparing the information requested by the auditors, if required
  • Cooperates closely with GL/AP team, Treasury and Finance Business Partners;
  • Ensures the processes are properly documented

  • Graduate or enrolled student in Accounting/Finance
  • Fluency in English is required

* Understands the communication process with other departments and different business units on different queries

* Any other tasks required by the Team

Job Description

  • Work in a highly motivated team of professional buyers with European scope;
  • Personal development through on the job learning and coaching from a dedicated mentor;
  • Providing support for several buyers in purchasing department;
  • Support of purchasing projects in direct contact with different levels within the organization;
  • Reviewing, analyzing and clarifying quote packages from suppliers;
  • Tracing of responses, setting of deadlines, sending out reminders;
  • Purchasing master data updates;
  • Checking invoice deviations and clearance together with buyer, supplier or accounting;
  • Consolidation of complex data, mainly in Excel;
  • Other ad hoc requests;

Qualifications

  • Students with ongoing studies in the field of Economics or Engineering with strong interest in Purchasing and Supply Chain;
  • Very good English and German skills (spoken and written);
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, and creative, with the will to succeed;
  • Analytical skills, sense for accuracy, strong Microsoft Excel skills is a must;
